Wet decks and slippery ramps can create hazardous working surfaces. The US Navy has a robust nonskid program from which lessons learned are applied to the operation of commercial vessels. Maintaining worker safety and keeping these valuable personnel protected and manning ships is paramount. This presentation will review the prevalance of slip and fall marine hazards, new nonskid technologies used by the US Navy, and how this can ultimately help ship owners and workers minimize lost time and damages.
