Welcome to the inaugural WorkBoat’s Women in Maritime Luncheon.

This event provides a platform for women professionals to network, share experiences, and discuss the opportunities and challenges they face in the maritime sector. Attendees will hear from female industry leaders and experts in the maritime industry who have navigated their maritime careers, breaking through glass ceilings and paving the way for future generations.

Attendees are well aware of the hurdles that females face in the industry. Instead of focusing on what we know, which his that females are grossly underrepresented in maritime, we will discuss actionable takeaways to push for further growth.

Panelists will discuss three main questions:

What do we do to bring more women into the maritime industry? Action.
How do we go about doing the above? Steps needed to take.
What do we need to be successful? Funding and investment, school recruitment, resources and programs

The presentation will end with audience Q&A and then we will move into a coffee networking break to wrap the event up.
