In this session, Mike Varney (CAPT, ret), President of ThayerMahan Offshore, will provide a comprehensive presentation on how ThayerMahan was able to successfully and efficiently capture and transfer knowledge to build these real-world, blue industry skills.
The first half of the session will focus on ThayerMahan’s delivery of sonar technician training programs to the Romanian Navy, including the lessons and insights learned from the challenges faced.
The second half of the session will highlight how ThayerMahan was able to establish and successfully implement an Acoustic Analyst Apprenticeship Program that takes high school students and turns them into well-trained, operation-ready Analysts.
