Will Roberts is a maritime executive based in Edmonds, Washington, with a career spanning submarine service, global engineering, and senior leadership across the commercial marine industry. He currently serves as Senior Consultant with Systems Planning & Analysis, supporting the U.S. Navy’s DRPM Submarines program, a role he’s held since January 2025. He also sits on the boards of Nautican Research and Development and MM-SEAS USCG Licensing Software, and recently completed a stint as COO of Sause Bros. Ocean Towing Co.
He began his career as a U.S. Navy submarine officer aboard the USS Honolulu (SSN-718), later teaching Naval Science at Florida A&M University. From there he moved into engineering and project management, then spent over eight years at Rolls-Royce, rising to Senior Vice President of Customer and Sales for the Americas, leading roughly 300 people across sixteen sites in the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Chile.
He joined Foss Maritime Company in 2017 as Chief Commercial Officer, becoming COO in 2018 and President in 2021, then went on to lead ioCurrents, a maritime data analytics company, as CEO. He holds a background from the United States Naval Academy and remains active in the maritime community, including as a board member of the Everett Rowing Association.
