Thiago Gomes de Lima

Currently serving as the Director of the Polytechnic Institute at UFRJ in Macaé and a professor in the Industrial Engineering program, where he teaches courses in Work Engineering and Ergonomics.

He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences and Conservation from UFRJ, including a research exchange at the Department of Management Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), where he collaborated with the Work System Design Research Group in the Innovation Division.

He also holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (UCAM), a specialization in Ergonomics and Project Design (COPPE-UFRJ), an MBA in Strategic People Management (FGV), and a specialization in Data Engineering (XP Educação).

He is a Neuropsychologist affiliated with the Department of Neurology at the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP).

He coordinates the Center for Studies in Management, Ergonomics, and Projects (NEGEP – UFRJ). He is currently focused on research in Human Factors and Neuroergonomics, particularly involving Work-Class ROV (WROV) pilots.

He is also the coordinator of the Executive Education Program in Management of Ergonomics, Human Factors, and Operational Safety at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

A member of the Brazilian Ergonomics Association (ABERGO), he also serves on the Coordination Committee for Ergonomics Teaching and Training.
