The Women in Maritime Summit is designed for maritime professionals at every stage of their careers. Whether you are new to the industry or have decades of experience, the Summit offers a space to learn, collaborate with peers, and leave with practical takeaways and professional connections that last beyond the day.
This year’s summit will open with a presentation on a new international workforce development initiative led by the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. The Next Era Xceptional Technology for Shipbuilding and Education in America’s Seas (NEXTSEAS), is a four-year effort designed to strengthen the U.S. shipbuilding talent pipeline through a transatlantic partnership of maritime academies, vocational institutions, and shipyards – showcasing how global best practices can be adapted to strengthen domestic manufacturing and build long-term career pathways.
The Summit will then shift to an interactive discussion on how advanced technologies are changing the way maritime professionals work. Attendees will be invited to participate in a brief roundtable discussion, designed to foster deeper dialogue and stronger connections. A panel of industry leaders will then take the stage for an expert-level conversation on the topic, highlighting the opportunities these technologies are unlocking across the board for maritime professionals.
