Hans Van Sumeren is the Senior Director of the Ocean Enterprise Initiative at the Marine Technology Socieity.  Prior to joining the Ocean Enterprise Initiative Hans was the founding Director of the Great Lakes Water Studies Institute at Northwestern Michigan College and spent two decades at the University of Michigan as a researcher, engineer, and administrator spanning hydrodynamics, ocean engineering, and marine technology.
