Christopher Mack, Jr. is a maritime operations executive based in the Greater Seattle area, currently serving as Vice President, Marine Operations at Tidewater Transportation and Terminals, a role he has held since February 2025.
Chris built his career at Foss Maritime Company over more than two decades, rising from Chief Mate/2nd Mate through Port Captain, General Manager of Marine Transportation, and Director of Fleet Operations, before being named Chief Operating Officer in 2022. In that role he oversaw board relations and company-wide marine operations until his move to Tidewater. Early in his career he also served as a Global Supercargo with America Cargo Transport Corp.
He holds a Master of Marine Transportation and Engineering Management from California State University Maritime Academy (2021-2023), a BS in Marine Transportation from the same institution (2001-2005), and studied Project Management at the University of Washington Tacoma.
Chris is active in the Pacific Northwest maritime community, regularly engaging with industry news from Tidewater, Foss Maritime, and Saltchuk Marine on topics ranging from fleet investments to crew safety recognitions.
