The project is to honor the men and women who have contributed to the international oilfield diving industry by constructing a monument. This monument is a life-size bronze statue of an early oilfield diver from the period 1965 to 1975. We want to recognize the vital role played by oilfield divers in offshore petroleum operations, including the construction, installation, repair, and salvage of platforms and pipelines.
The oil and gas industry's evolution and movement offshore have had a profound impact on culture, geography, society, and the economy. The monument will serve as a tribute to those who have worked underwater to advance the oil and gas industry globally.
A granite wall that presents the history of oilfield diving, highlighting safety improvements, equipment advancements, and procedural developments made by dedicated divers. The wall has a QR code linked to our web page providing additional historical information, early photographs, and links to diving schools.
