• Application - Ideally suited for small vessel engine rooms and OEM applications where compact high flow ventilation systems are required. Excellent for today’s high horsepower vessels, the 11-inch Axial Fan provides nearly 9 times the air volume of small DC centrifugal marine blowers with low electrical load requirements.

• Design & Construction — The 11-inch Axial Ventilation Fan is specifically designed and built for the rigors of the marine environment – not adapted from other industries. With a flanged shroud made of glass filled nylon, this unit provides a nearly indestructible, compact fan with superior corrosion resistance. Extended wiring leads from the motor for simple quick electrical connections. By simply changing motor polarity, removing the hub/shaft clip and reversing the hub allows this fan to be used for “pusher” or “puller” applications.

• Motor — A specially marinized sealed DC direct drive motor provides quiet reliable service. Motors are totally enclosed (TEAO) double-shielded ball bearing type. Constructed with die cast aluminum end plates, O-ring seals, stainless steel shaft and tough black Teflon epoxy coating for superior corrosion resistance. Armatures are dynamically balanced for quiet, vibration free operation.

• Fan Hubs & Blades — A 5-blade glass filled nylon hub with a pilot is secured directly to the motor shaft.

• Finish — Black glass filled nylon with black Teflon epoxy coating.

Delta “T” Systems introduces the next generation in DC Voltage Control Systems technology. The all-new DCT2 DC Controller. Utilizing the same tried and true architecture that made the DCT1 the most reliable DC ventilation controller in the world, but now adding the capability of 12 or 24 VDC input/output. The T4™ Ventilation Control System uses digital technology and provides complete control of both the engine room intake and exhaust fans using temperature sensors. This system is designed for use in vessels using natural draft combustion air inlets that require engine room cooling air in addition to the air required for the machinery. It may be configured to use intake, exhaust fans or a combination of both to provide engine room cooling.Automatic Operation - Fan operation is digitally controlled via proprietary T4™ Ventilation Control System using a touch screen control interface located in the engine or control room. When the main engines are started, the control system will automatically switch to the “AUTO RUN™” mode and start the fans. The speed of the fans is automatically controlled based upon the temperature of the engine room space, maintaining the operating temperature at or below the engine manufacturers maximum (?T) when underway. As temperatures rise and cooling air requirements increase, the fan(s) will automatically respond to the additional airflow demands and increase in speed. By automatically speed controlling the fans, the electrical loads and noise levels are kept to a minimum level based upon the prevailing operating conditions. Upon main engine shut down, the T4™ Ventilation Control System will automatically switch the fan operation to the “QUIET RUN™” mode to remove excess heat and cool the engine room. The operator can set the fan speed limit the when operating in the “QUIET RUN™” mode so fan sound characteristics never exceed the desired level. When the engine room reaches the user settable engine room temperature value, all fans will shut down. As the engine room temperature rises, the fans will continue to start and stop automatically, thus providing true thermostatic control of the engine room when dockside or when operating generators. When main engines are restarted, the system will then automatically switch to the “AUTO RUN™” mode.Manual Operation - In the event that engine room ventilation is required, such as when performing engine room maintenance or removing fumes, the fans can be turned on and manually controlled in both forward and reverse directions from the FCI-T4™ ventilation control system interface.

Description:

Delta ”T” Systems manufactures a full line of marine fire dampers for any application. Available in standard and custom sizes in both round and rectangular styles, and built in either aluminum or stainless steel. Both round and rectangular style dampers are available with A-60 ratings. Round Dampers are designed to close couple directly to either end of Delta “T” Systems Marine Axial Fans (standard sizes from 12" ID through 30" ID) to provide the safest, most compact, high volume ventilation component assembly available. The short casing design allows the damper blade to project into the open section of the plenum to minimize overall length. Dampers may also be installed independently within an air-shaft or plenum if no fan is installed. Rectangular dampers are available in anodized aluminum or 304 stainless steel. Using high temperature silicone blade seals, these units are provided with a simple mounting flange for attachment. - Dampers may be automatically closed via a pneumatically controlled actuator. Actuators are suitable for use with CO2, Halon, FM-200 and other pressurized fire suppression systems and are U.S. Coast Guard (162.038/7/0), American Bureau of Shipping, UL (EX-2968) and Factory Mutual type approved. Just 70 PSI is required to provide instantaneous spring loaded closure of the air duct. Dampers may also be manually actuated and reset from outside of the damper casing. As an option, all dampers may be fitted with electric “fail-safe” type actuators. These are available in 24 volts DC, 115 volts or 230 volts AC. Electric dampers will close automatically upon loss of electrical current supply.

The moisture eliminator is a specially designed filter, which removes damaging salt and water from the intake air for the engine room without hampering the airflow. Capable of removing water drops down to ten microns in size or less, the moisture eliminator filters out the elements that can retard engine performance and cause accelerated corrosion within any engine room environment. These filters are engineered and custom made to fit into the natural air openings for your vessel’s engine room in order to condition the air that your engines need and to optimize their performance.

Our premium series fans range in size from 12” (305 mm) ID to 48” (1220 mm) ID. Flanged housings of welded marine grade aluminum provide light weight and excellent corrosion resistance. Major assembly hardware is corrosion resistant stainless steel for long life. An external junction box mounted on the housing exterior is provided for electrical connections.High efficiency NEMA Premium three phase and single phase direct drive motors are utilized to provide quiet continuous duty service. Our motors use a multi-point “spider” or “pad” mounting for corrosion resistance, light weight and enhanced air flow characteristics. Available with “CE” Classification, 50 or 60 HZ, and optional I-EEE-45 Certification, these motors are designed for worldwide applications and can be provided in nearly any voltage configuration. Standard motor sizes from 1/4 HP (.19 kW) to 30 HP (23.4 kW) are available.Corrosion resistant aluminum hubs are secured directly to the motor shaft using multiple locking methods for enhanced safety and reliability. Weather Closures
Description:

Delta ”T” Systems manufactures a Weather Closure that solves an age-old problem on board workboats of all types. In the past, the need to close off the openings in a vessel due to heavy weather meant sending men out in seas to secure the openings manually in order to keep the water on the outside of the vessel. This task is often difficult and could even be dangerous in heavy weather. The weather closure solves this problem by allowing the openings on board a vessel to be closed remotely from the bridge or any other desired location. The weather closure uses an electric actuator to remotely close off the desired openings. These closures are manufactured specifically for this application and are custom built to fit any size opening. Delta “T” Systems’ weather closure also uses their time-tested moisture elimination technology to filter rain and salt spray out of the air-flow when the weather closure is open. This filter is capable of removing water from the air that enters a vessel down to ten microns or less in drop size and all the way up to a driving rain or even green water conditions.
