The Venue

International WorkBoat Show & Annual Conference takes place in Halls B through F of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Registration is located in the lobby outside of Hall D. The Conference and Keynotes will take place in the Great Hall.

Business Center

Located in Lobby F, The UPS Store is both a self-service and full-service operation, depending on the customer’s needs. Remote business centers can be set up at event registration areas. Hours are tailored to meet the needs of convention managers and attendees. A wide range of supplies and services including shipping, high volume copying, faxing, badge chains, etc., are available.

Onsite Restaurants & Dining

Whether you need boxed lunches for ten or gumbo for 10,000, Centerplate, the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center’s exclusive food service provider, can turn out quality results for any size meeting. For attendees’ convenience, the Convention Center also offers retail cafes in the lobbies and a variety of concession stands throughout the facility.

Starbucks – The world-renowned coffee company is located in the Atrium between Lobbies B and C.

Visitors with Disabilities

The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center provides services ramps to entrances and elevated areas, an array of passenger elevators, restroom facilities for the disabled, brailed instructions/directions at strategic locations throughout the building and pay phones located at each level of the facility with (TDD) hearing-impaired functions. Airport Transportation

The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is approximately 20 minutes by car to the Morial Convention Center and surrounding hotels. Traveling options from the airport and the Morial Convention Center or to your hotel include:

Shuttle: The International WorkBoat Show partnerns with the Airport Shuttle Service to bring our attendees discounted transportation stay tuned for more details about this program and how to reserve your transportation.

Taxi: $33 flat-rate to Central Business District or $14 per person for 3+ passengers

Public Transit: $2 fare and the Airport-Downtown Express (E-2) Bus picks up outside airport Entrance #7 on the upper level

General Driving Directions

General Directions from the East:

  • Take I-10 West to Exit 234C (West Bank/Highway 90).
  • Continue on Highway 90 (the Riverfront Expressway) and exit right at Tchoupitoulas/South Peters Street. This is the last exit before crossing the Crescent City Connection Bridge.
  • On ground level, stay in the left lane and go to the fourth stop, which is Convention Center Boulevard. You will see the Convention Center in front of you.
  • Turn left on Convention Center Boulevard. The Convention Center is on your right, at 900 Convention Center Boulevard.

General Directions from the West:

  • Take I-10 East to the West Bank/Highway 90 exit (do not continue on I-10 to Slidell).
  • Stay in the right lane and exit right at Tchoupitoulas/South Peters Street. This is the last exit before crossing the Crescent City Connection Bridge.
  •  On ground level, stay in the left lane and go to the fourth stop, which is Convention Center Boulevard. You will see the Convention Center in front of you.

Visa Invitation Letter Policy

Please be aware as part of our official show policy we are unable to provide letters of invitation for the purpose of obtaining a visa for travel.

We have been informed by the US Embassies that a letter of invitation has no bearing on whether a visa will be issued.

When applying for your visa, be sure to provide a copy of your registration confirmation or exhibit contract (if applicable) to attend the show, as well as any promotional materials you have received verifying the exhibition is a valid event.

Don’t be fooled by impostors

Watch out for companies claiming to produce official show listings and directories

There are several organizations that have been targeting exhibitors and small companies around the world including exhibitors at Diversified Communications events in the United States requesting that the exhibitor update their trade show directory listing or world business directory. If you have participated in any of our exhibitions in previous years, or are due to participate in any of our events this year you are likely to be targeted.

Please BEWARE of companies that send you faxes or emails offering to list your company in an Exhibitor Directory or a Business Guide, for example FAIRGuide, Expo-Guide, Construct Data Verlag, World Business Directory or World Business Guide.

If you reply to a faxed letter or an email request from any of these companies to update your directory listing you may be locked into an automatically renewing three (3) year contract for an annual charge that could be USD $1,700 or more (GBP 980 or EU 995). Before responding to any solicitation you should carefully read the entire document and if you are in doubt, do not respond.

If you are a U.S. business and have a complaint or concern about an unsolicited email or fax from one of these companies you can contact your local Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission in Washington DC. If you are an EU based business you can contact your local Consumer Rights office and the EU Consumer Rights office. You can also find more information on the website.

Because of the size and success of The International WorkBoat Show it has attracted a number of companies that are trying to ride on our coattails. Some exhibitors are getting phone calls & e-mail messages everyday from companies offering all types of services from audiovisual equipment to travel arrangement & hotel rooms. Most of these companies are not official vendors for the show, and some are from non-existent companies.
