Mike Zintel has 40 years of experience in the tech industry, including an accounting software startup, digital wireless communications systems with Motorola, and building many things you use and may dislike from time to time over 25 years at Microsoft.
Mike looked in the mirror one day in 2018, realized he was 56 years old, and that he was behind on his goals of ocean exploration, and also that he was 56 years old.
In 2019, although he didn’t know it at the time, during his first submersible experience, he became trapped in a hysteresis loop that would lead him around the world. Along the way he trained as a pilot and made some new friends on DeepSee off Cocos Island.
Mike is now back to at keyboard squinting to author software few will even know about, but enjoying it more.
His last “big” title was VP of Development / Distinguished Engineer, Microsoft Corp.
