William Austin is Director of Business Development for the Measurement & Alignment Services Division of In-Place Machining Company (IPM). Prior to joining IPM, William was the founder and owner of WL3 Solutions, a company that provided comprehensive 3D measurement solutions for industries including commercial and defense shipbuilding, commercial and defense aerospace manufacturing, alternative energy, composite manufacturing, and heavy industry. William pioneered a multitude of 3D measurement solutions catering to projects of varying scales. He is an undisputed expert in the development of metrology and laser scanning solutions, encompassing precision laser scanning and 3D modeling, dimensional metrology, and metrology automations. William Austin received hs BS in Mechanical Engineering and Technology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
