Ryan Bishop has more than two decades of experience in the maritime industry, with a focus on leveraging technologies to enhance operational and cost efficiencies for vessel owners.
Ryan’s approach is rooted in collaboration, practicality, and innovation. Recently taking on the role of Director of Ferry Marine Solutions at Siemens Energy, Ryan is driving the Siemens Energy ferries segment approach towards better customer centricity. The main goal is to enable operators, shipyards, and designers to advance their ferry fleet’s electrical and hybrid capabilities and drive maximum cost efficiency through the strength and practical know-how of Siemens Energy solutions.
Before his current role, Ryan held senior leadership positions at RINA Marine, DNV GL Maritime, ABB, and ABS Consulting. In these roles, he was instrumental in market strategy development, the launch of new business segments, and the implementation of tactical sales strategies.
Ryan’s academic background includes a Master of Science in Engineering & Technology Management from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
