Michelle Perrigo

Michelle Perrigo has been part of commercial diver training at the Divers Institute of Technology in Seattle, WA for more than 14 years. She came to DIT after 12 years in traditional higher education, leadership development, curriculum and programming design, organizational management, and social work.  Michelle’s passion for lifelong learning is a perfect fit within adult trade education and she cherishes the opportunities to help every new student find their career path within the variety of the commercial diving industry options.

Michelle has worked with school, diver, supervisor, instructor, and program accreditation and certifications within ADCI and DCBC regulations since her early days at DIT. She’s hosted almost as many campus Student Thanksgiving Dinners as Advisory Committee meetings bridging industry employer needs with schoolhouse training curriculum updates. Over the last 2 years, she’s had the priviledge of working with ADCI on the development of new Minimum Commercial Diver Training Standards through a new ANSI standard. Most recently, she added Career Services and Job Placement back to her DIT role and is thrilled again to be in touch regularly with employers and partners who hire dive school grads and kick off their careers in this phenomenal industry.
