Dr. Ken Chadwick is a professor of management and Head of the Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business at Nicholls State University. He also serves as the Director of the Maritime Management Program and holds the Peter Callais Endowed Professorship in Business and the Otto B. Candies Endowed Professorship in Maritime Management.
Ken earned his undergraduate degree in economics in 1984 and the master of business administration degree in 1988, both from Nicholls State. In 1998, he was awarded a Doctorate of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University. He spent three years teaching at LSU Shreveport before returning to his hometown and Nicholls State University.
Dr. Chadwick has co-authored over 20 research articles and professional proceedings on topics that include maritime management, corporate governance, entrepreneurship and others. In addition, he has collaborated with colleagues in the College of Business to write thirteen grants that were awarded approximately $500,000.00. All grants were developed specifically to enhance the learning environment for students in the College of Business and/or to support the maritime program.
Dr. Chadwick is a member of the Thibodaux Rotary Club and serves on the boards at Bayou Council Behavioral Health Services and the Friends of Bayou Lafourche.
