Justin Scherf

Justin Scherf brings more than 30 years of experience in commercial diving and marine construction, with a career built on delivering complex underwater solutions safely and efficiently. He currently serves as the Underwater Services Director for J.F. Brennan Company, where he leads a team of over 100 divers and support personnel across a wide range of inland and industrial projects.

Justin has been an active member of the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) for more than 15 years and serves as both a General Board Member and Chairman of the Midwest Chapter. In these roles, he supports ADCI’s mission to advance safety, training, and operational standards across the global commercial diving industry.

Justin began his career in the United States Navy, where he developed a strong foundation in leadership, operational discipline, and mission execution. Over the course of 24 years of active and reserve service, he held roles of increasing responsibility, serving around the world and ultimately retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. The experience and leadership principles gained during his military service continue to shape his approach to team development, safety culture, and operational excellence today.

Following his military career, he formally entered the commercial diving industry in the early 1990s and has remained deeply committed to advancing the profession ever since.

Outside of work, Justin is married to his wife Lori and is the proud father of an extremely active baseball player, Gage.
