Guillermo Calderon is the Director of Business Development for Marine Services at REELPOWER Marine & Energy, a leading provider of specialized equipment for the offshore, marine, and energy industries.
At REELPOWER, Guillermo is part of a team with a strong legacy of engineering innovation and performance-driven solutions, supported by decades of experience in lifting and handling systems. The company’s portfolio, backed by an extensive patent base and advanced engineering capabilities, has been widely adopted across offshore drilling and subsea applications, with a focus on improving reliability, efficiency, and safety in demanding environments. This foundation supports the development of next-generation solutions, including lay equipment, specialty winches, loading stations, and modular LARS systems that apply proven material-handling expertise to modern subsea deployment challenges.
Prior to joining REELPOWER, Guillermo held engineering and business development leadership roles at ABS, where he played a key role in advancing next-generation technologies, particularly in ship electrification and alternative fuels. His global experience includes strategic assignments across the Americas, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, with roles in Rio de Janeiro, Houston, Singapore, Copenhagen, and London.
Guillermo holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation and an Executive MBA from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
