Guillermo Calderon is the Manager of Business Development at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), where he leads marine market initiatives across the U.S. Gulf Coast and Mexico. With more than 18 years of international experience in the marine and offshore industries, Guillermo brings deep expertise in classification and regulatory compliance, with a strong focus on new technologies. He has been very actively involved in new shipbuilding initiatives in the United States at ABS.
Throughout his career, Guillermo has held leadership roles within ABS’s Global Engineering organization, with strategic assignments in Rio de Janeiro, Houston, Singapore, Copenhagen, and London. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, and an Executive MBA from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, where he also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation.
