Chuck Broussard currently serves as Senior Vice President and Dredging Area Manager at Weeks Marine, Inc., where he oversees the estimating department, daily operational support, fleet logistics, and contract execution. With more than 30 years of experience in the dredging industry, he has led and supported some of the nation’s largest marsh creation, beach nourishment, and marine infrastructure projects throughout the country. Since 2012, Chuck has overseen more than $5 billion in contracts for public and private clients, providing expertise in equipment allocation, scheduling, personnel management, budgeting, and project execution.
Chuck began his career with TL James in 1993 as a Field Engineer while earning a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. Following Weeks Marine’s acquisition of TL James in 1998, he advanced through the estimating organization, ultimately serving as Chief Estimator before being promoted to Vice President in 2015 and Senior Vice President in 2022.
In addition to his leadership at Weeks Marine, Chuck is an active member of several industry organizations, including the Coast Builders Coalition, the Florida Shore & Beach Preservation Association, and the Western Dredging Association, where he has previously served on both national and regional boards. His experience spanning field operations, estimating, and executive management provides a well-rounded perspective on the challenges and opportunities shaping the dredging industry today.
