U.S. Navy Boats & Combatant Craft (PMS 300G): Maintenance & Repair Panel

Dec 03 2021

11:10 AM - 11:50 AM EDT

Think Tank Stage

Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Program Executive Office Ships (PEO SHIPS) US Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Boats and Craft Program Office (PMS 300) was stood up in October 2021. PMS 300 is responsible for commercial-based naval acquisition of craft and boats for the Navy, other Dept. of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD customers. Within PMS300, the ‘G-division’ is responsible for managing the acquisition, design, production, test, and delivery of boats & combatant craft to the U.S. Navy and other U.S. Armed Services. PMS 300G also supports these vessels with life cycle management and sustainment engineering as funded.

Life Cycle Management (LCM) and Sustainment Engineering (SE) are key factors that directly contribute to reliability, mission readiness, and extended service life of boats & combatant craft. LCM/SE support areas involves budgeting for modernization, maintenance planning, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Configuration Management (CM), Planning Yard, and In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) support.

In this Think Tank presentation, PMS 300G will discuss an overview of US Navy boat policy and guidance, lifecycle management challenges and issues, identifications of areas where industry support is encouraged, and upcoming opportunities to support boat and combatant craft maintenance and repair work.
