RelyOn Nutec was approached by Kongsberg in late 2021 to develop a hybrid learning Pilot Ladder Safety training program inclusive of adaptive learning technology for the theoretical content followed by a one-day practical session at one of our world-class US based training centers in Houston, Texas or Houma, Louisiana. The resulting course was implemented in 2022 with more than 1500 learners having completed the tailor-made training to date.
The RelyOn Nutec/Kongsberg Pilot Ladder Safety Training course, developed out of necessity due to the high-risk nature of Offshore Embarking and Disembarking for personnel globally, required content that was relevant and engaging to provide the skills and knowledge needed to perform offshore personnel transfers from pilot vessels to offshore vessels. The training was structured to cover the hazards associated with such activities, the controls used to help mitigate the risks and the safe procedures adopted when transferring.
