Offshore Wind Energy
Offshore wind energy has become a major source of renewable energy across the globe over the last decade and will continue to expand in years to come. In the United States, there is only one operating offshore wind farm but there are many in the pipeline. Experts will share their studies of this affordable and clean energy producing infrastructure and identify the benefits to not only the local communities but from a national standpoint as well. This session will also highlight the design criteria and requirements of placing turbines offshore.
