How to Effectively Manage a Coast Guard Inspection
The U.S.-flagged passenger vessel fleet has been inspected by the Coast Guard since 1958. In this session, passenger vessel operators will describe the process of preparing for and managing a traditional Coast Guard inspection. This will include an in-depth examination of required paperwork and documentation, preparing the vessel and crew for the inspection, and managing crew and Coast Guard interaction during the inspection. In addition, panelists will discuss the process for reconsideration and appeals when disagreements arise as a result of the inspection.
