Abstract / Short Description
Traditional underwater measurement, control, and visualization approaches often rely on rigid platforms and fragile code. In fact, the same problems exist both topside and in laboratories. However, with the right tools these challenges can now finally be met with robust, flexible, feature-rich solutions – in a fraction of the time. In this talk, we’ll break down the challenges & tradeoffs, show how you can flexibly integrate any instrumentation on your next mission, and see live examples of missions using new, accessible technologies including JADE, SIDEKICK, AUVs, ROVs, and ROTVs.
