Voith Inline Thruster (VIT) and Voith Inline Propulsor (VIP) Using the latest technology, Voith developed this state-of-the-art rim drive system. The Voith Inline system is the perfect drive for bow or stern thruster arrangements. It can be installed in a small skeg, as a transverse tunnel thruster, as a swing-out/azimuthing system, or as a main propulsor. The Voith Inline system is available in power ranges from 50kW to 1500kW.

Voith Fluid Couplings Voith fluid couplings provide numerous advantages to drives for work boats, ferries, ice breaking ships, aircraft carriers as well as government owned vessels.The hydrodynamic principle of fluid coupling relieves startup of a ship's drive motor. Torsional vibration from the motor as well as shock loading from the propeller are effectively damped. With combinations of multiple engines or propellers, the coupling has automatic load compensation.The coupling protects the driveline from damage even under extreme operating conditions.
