Container Master Series Assist Winches
JonRie Container Master Series of Winches are a heavy duty design to deal with increased loading due to increased sail area of today's container ships.The winch system features JonRie's New Gen-X Controls with haul effect foot pedal and joystick operation to provide proportional control of the line haul and line out modes of the winch.The controls have a message screen to allow the engineers to know the parameters of the winch and if a malfunction occurs the screen will note the cause.JonRie's standard systems are also included on the new tug including a tension readout system with a red back light with dimming controls for better night vision for the master while still displaying the load on the tug and winch.The winch prepares any port for the increased tonnage coming through the expanded Panama Canal.
Tow-Liner Series of Heavy Duty Tow Winches
JonRie's New Tow-Liner Heavy Duty Series of Tow Winches are designed to overcome the increased loading on today's new ASD line haul tug boats. The winches feature direct drive motors, no gearing and nothing open to the weather for years of service and an investment on any tug. The winches also feature an independent drive level winds for safety so no one is down on the deck during a tow. The winch system features JonRie's New Gen-X Controls with haul effect joystick operation to provide proportional control of the line haul and line out modes of the winch. The controls also features JonRie's new auto abort/back up system to allow the operator a one-move abort system. If 120 V AC is lost to the system the controls switch over to a 24 V DC back up system allowing continued abort function.
Bollard Strength Open Ocean Capstans
JonRie's Open Ocean Bollard Capstans are a perfect fit for today's new ATBs. The Capstans feature load bearing slewing rings, below deck or enclosed drives to reduce any salt water on the drives or drive motors. The capstans are offered with an electric or hydraulic drive, fail safe brakes and controls or valves to function the heads. Sizes are offered from large ATB Capstans to smaller Barge Mooring Capstans. JonRie's New Gen-X Controls have a message screen to allow the engineers to know the parameters of the capstan and if a malfunction occurs the screen will note the cause and bypass control to negate the SCRs when running and just monitor the winch load across the line of the bus to help reduce heat.
Ocean Service Barge Deck Equipment
JonRie, Open Ocean Barge Deck Equipment includes Windlasses, Capstans and Mooring Winches. All equipment is designed for upper weather deck mounting. Pictured is JonRie's Open Ocean Windlass with all clutches, brakes and drives mounted below deck so all equipment is out of the weather for longer life and reduced upkeep. All equipment is of rugged construction to perform under adverse conditions. Offered in hydraulic or electric drives.

Heavy Duty Dredging Spud Winches
JonRie's Heavy Duty Dredging Spud Winces are designed to lift in the mud and break suction for calm shell and dipper dredge spuds. The winches are designed to perform in the weather 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Calm Shell Winces are designed to lift the spuds so the dredge can easily move to its next section of excavation. Dipper Winches are designed to pin the spuds during operations to stabilize the dredge during excavations. All systems are available with walking spud capability's and HPU and controls to provide a turn key solution.
Auto Position Escort Winch
JonRie was issued a U.S. Patent for an innovative winch system for escort tugs along with Castleman Maritime. JonRie demonstrated that moving the pivot point during an escort will increase tanker turning forces, thus reducing turning time to correct the tanker's course. Two hulls were taken to the test tanks were it was determined that the tanker steering forces were as much as 35% greater with a rotating staple as opposed to a fixed staple. It also became apparent that the up lifting forces on the escort tug made the tug more stable and negated its possibility of capsizing.
