Propulsion Shaft Locking Brakes - Manual, Pneumatic, and Hydraulically controlled
We have recently solved an issue for one of our customers related to his propulsion shaft turning due to water current or when under engine power. We have come up with a propulsion shaft locking brake for either yachts, sail boats or work boats. The shaft locking brake system is installed without removing the propulsion shaft or moving the vessel into dry dock. The shaft locking brake will reduce drag, eliminate transmission heat, and prevent seal damage due to water flow when not under engine power.
