Eastern’s original shipyard was established in 1976 for the purpose of constructing commercial fishing boats for the company’s founder and CEO, Brian R. D’Isernia. In 1981, Eastern’s diversification began with the delivery of our first Offshore Supply Vessels. Today, Eastern’s history includes a portfolio of over 350 vessels and it is one of the most diverse vessel construction companies as a result of its state of the art product line and fabrication processes. Eastern has built everything from Offshore Supply Vessels to Tugs, Inland Pushboats, Ro-Ro/Passenger Ferries, Inland Transport Vessels, Barges, Dredges, Fireboats, Research Vessels, Offshore Construction Vessels, USCG Offshore Patrol Cutters, Fishing Vessels, and more.

Diesel Electric Z-Drive Multi-Purpose Support Vessels

The HARVEY DEEP-SEA, delivered in 2013, is a 302 ft. x 64 ft. x 24.5 ft. 6,700 HP Diesel Electric Z-Drive Multi-Purpose Support Vessel delivered to Harvey Gulf International Marine. In addition, Eastern is constructing two larger MPSVs for Harvey Gulf.

Diesel Electric Z-Drive Platform Supply Vessels

The HOS BLACK ROCK, delivered in 2015, is one of six 302 ft. x 64 ft. x 24 ft. 6,700 HP Diesel Electric Z-Drive Platform Supply Vessels delivered to Hornbeck Offshore Services, LLC. In addition, Eastern is constructing two MPSVs for Hornbeck Offshore.

Ferries

The GRAND MANAN ADVENTURE delivered in 2011. is a 280.5 ft. x 60.7 ft. x  23.7 ft. Passenger/vehicle Ro-Ro Ferry delivered to Coastal Transport for the Province of New Brunswick, Canada. The vessel is providing ferry services between New Brunswick and Grand Manan Island.

Z-Drive Tugs

The BEVERLY B., delivered in 2010, is a 96 ft. x 34 ft. x 14 ft. 9 in., 4,000 HP Twin Z-Drive Reverse Tractor Tug producing 55 tons bollard pull at rated horsepower. The BEVERLY B. was the second vessel in the series, the fourth tug the ARCHIE T. HIGGINS will deliver in late 2015 for BISSO Offshore, LLC.

Inland Towboats

The CAPT. TROY HOTARD, delivered in September 2017, is the "66th"  90 ft. x 32 ft. x 10 ft. 3,000 HP Towboat delivered to Florida Marine Transporters, Inc. since 2006. Eastern has constructed and delivered 81 Inland Towboats for various customers with 4 more currently under construction.

Fishing Vessels

The F/T ARAHO is a Freezer Processor Factory Trawler under construction for O’Hara Corporation of Rockland, Maine. The F/T ARAHO measures 194’-0”x 49’-0”x 19’-4” and DNV Classed. The F/T ARAHO will be the 1st US Flag Freezer Processor Factory Trawler constructed in over 25 years.

Dredges

The MAGDALEN is a 356’ Twin Screw Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger under construction for Weeks Marine, Inc. The MAGDALEN has a hopper capacity of 8,550 yd³.
