These cables meet all test requirements of IEEE 45 (1998), IEEE 1580 (2001), UL 1309 and
the Flame Test in IEC 60332-3, Category A. They are listed by ETL, a nationally recognized
testing laboratory, per IEEE 45 (1998), IEEE 1580 (2001) and UL 1309/CSA 245 for 600
volts. Type LSX cables are approved by ABS.
Aluminum and bronze armored versions are available.

Temperature Class 85 °C, Flame Retardant (IEC 60332-3 category “A”, “A/F”), Low Smoke, Halogen Free, Low Toxicity. Suitable for application in cold climate areas required to pass cold bent and cold impact testing at –40 °C and –35 °C, respectively.

The Draka S611T series of Marine and Offshore fiber optic cables is designed especially for the harsh environments of commercial marine vessels, oil platforms and other similar applications. Draka S611T low smoke/zero halogen, flame retardant cables offer the versatility and ease of use of our other offshore cables in a construction suited for marine applications. They are complaint with the latest IEC requirements. S611T cables meet the requirements of IEC 60793-1 and IEC 60793-2 specifications, are encapsulated in all dielectric, tight buffered construction, individually reinforced with aramid yarns and jacketed (breakout style). The break-out components are cabled around a central member providing additional tensile strength to the entire construction. The thermoplastic low smoke/ zero halogen jacketing system offers good resistance to chemicals, fluids, fungus and abrasion. This product is also available in an armoured version.
