Super-E Motors are designed to conserve energy over extended time periods. These premium efficiency designs are available in both Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled and Open Drip Proof construction. All three phase motors are Inverter Ready per NEMA Standard MG1, Part 31.4.4.2. This means the motors in 230 and 460 volts meet NEMA's corona inception voltage requirements, under this Standard, and can withstand peak voltages of up to 1600 volts. Motors having premium efficiency are also available in single phase designs.

Baldor’s Digital Soft-Start control combines the simplicity of a 6 SCR three phase voltage regulator with the most adaptable soft starting techniques available. Soft Starting reduces the wear on mechanical gears, chains, sprockets, belts and gearboxes. It also reduces water hammer in pumping applications. The reduced inrush current can prevent peak overload of the overall plant, thus preventing peak demand penalties charged by the local utility company.     Application software senses changing load conditions and adapts to increase performance. Power factor optimization eliminates motor over-fluxing and allows under-loaded or over-sized motors to operate more efficiently.   The Digital Soft-Start control features include microprocessor logic, NEMA 1 Type enclosure, and 2 x 16 alphanumeric English language keypad.

Baldor’s new line of H2 Vector Drives provides the ultimate control of AC induction motors. Using a motor mounted encoder, or similar feedback sensor, the control is able to precisely control motor torque and speed. Full torque at zero speed, ability to directly command motor torque, tight speed regulation and high-speed motor operation are all available. Setup is easily accomplished using the one touch rotational or stationary autotune feature. But the control doesn’t stop there, adaptive tuning will also automatically adjust the control loop while the motor is running.
