Details:

The buoy is rotationally-moulded by Sealite from UV-stabilized virgin polyethylene, and has a 2.6mtr float diameter and 4.1mtr lantern focal height.

The Atlantic-2600 is built in a 5-part modular design and can be setup in any IALA recommended assembly.

Twin lifting and mooring eyes are interconnected by stainless steel tie bars through the hull structure – offering enormous strength and superior longevity of the navaid.

The Atlantic buoy is the only buoy in its class to offer a large 2.6mtr diameter float section without the incorporation of a central mooring post. This provide enormous user benefits, including;

• Faster, easier to assemble – the Atlantic-2600 buoy is delivered almost ready to deploy
• Lightweight – up to 60% lighter than competitor models
• Single, rotationally-molded main float section
• All stainless steel fittings

The hull section of the Atlantic-2600 has detachable side panels that are designed to be removed during transport, allowing the buoy to be conveniently transported in a shipping container. This provides the benefits of an extraordinarily large float section, without the need for a heavy, steel mooring-post.

The world-class LED lens is designed by Sealite and achieves precise intensity and sectoring requirements from a single LED light source.

Made from tough, durable polycarbonate and using the latest high intensity LED and a uniquely designed lens the BargeSafe™ 2nm light has an icredibly low power consumption. The light can be installed in minutes, requires no operator intervention and has permanent ON/OFF switch for easy storage.

During daylight hours the solar module will charge the battery and the lantern will automatically begin operation at dusk – once the ambient light threshold drops sufficiently.

The sealed battery compartment allows the battery to be replaced after years of service.

Utilising latest advancements in GPS technology, Sealite has developed an internal synchronisation system for the popular SL125 5-7nm range of lanterns.
 
 The SL125-GPS Lantern provides the user with the ability to mark a channel, port or river with independently operating beacons that all flash in synchronisation. This presents a clear outline of the channel each time the lanterns flash, and is particularly effective in overcoming background lighting.
 
 With advantages in electonics, Sealite has been able to produce a light that incorporates a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver. No additional power supplies, aerials or control systems are required. The SL125-GPS is a microprocessor-based system that has been designed to provide maximum reliability and performance of the beacon over a wide range of environmental conditions.
 
 Using overhead satellites, multiply SL125 units set to the same flash pattern will synchronise anywhere in the world.
 
 SeaFlare Technology™
 
 The inbuilt GPS receiver and advanced software of the Sealite Synchronised Lanterns allow for the adoption of SeaFlare channel marking - a unique system that cascades the synchronisation of channel lanterns in a uni or bi-directional flash pattern.
 
 In Australia, the Port of Melbourne Corporation has adopted this technology from Sealite to clearly identify the channel leading into Station Pier - an area that regularly accommodates some of the world's largest passenger vessels including the QE2.
 
 The neighbouring Port of Geelong utilise this technology to safely guide Afromax Tanders among other large sized vessels into harbour.
 
 How does it work?
 
 Synchronisation is achieved using an internal algorithm based on the highly accurate time base and time data received from the satellites. The satellite data is provided from a number of earth stations using atomic clocks as the time base.

The SL60 2 mile solar-powered LED lantern is maintenance-free and has a service life of over 5 years, extended through easy battery replacement. The unit is ideal for navigation, hazard lighting, aquaculture, perimeter lighting and a range of other applications.
 
 The lantern uses 6 LEDs as a light source and incorporates a 4Ah high-grade NiMH battery pack coupled with a 1.4watt solar module. The lantern is completely sealed and vented to alleviate pressure build-up through air exchange, without the moisture ingress. The light has been independently tested to IP68 for water ingress, and is capable of prolonged immersion. Both the lens and base are made from UV stabilised LEXAN® polycarbonate to provide excellent impact-resistance and a corrosion-free life.
 
 The SL60 is extremely versatile, and designed to offer the user enormous flexibility. The lantern can be easily set on-site to any of over 250 IALA recommended flash characters and any of 4 intensity settings. For easy storage and shipping, the lantern can be deactivated via an ‘ON/OFF’ toggle switch. The base of the lantern incorporates a unique sealed battery compartment, allowing the user to easily replace the battery after years of service.
 
 The lantern is simply switched ‘ON’ and the unit is ready for immediate operation. Once installed the SL60 requires no operator intervention. During daylight hours the solar module will charge the battery, and the lantern will automatically begin operation at dusk – once the ambient light threshold drops sufficiently. Coupled with LED technology and a highly efficient DC/DC converter, the lantern may provide over 20 days of continuous operation without sunlight (14 hour darkness, 12.5% duty cycle).
